Breaking News: Fantasy Twilight Tour Cancelled

Our affiliate, Kiowa Gordon Online, received an email from the people who manage the Fantasy Twilight Tour...

I've just received an email stating that all the stops have been canceled. I will copy what was said in my email here so everyone knows BUT if anyone needs ANY assistance with this I can try and help you as best as possible. I do not work for them but I have been in contact with them since purchasing my tickets for Baltimore back in August.

My email was as follows (copied straight from my account):

"It is with great regret that I send you this email. As of today, January 2, 2010, Super Twilight Conventions, LLC (host of The Fantasy Twi-Life Tour) has ceased operations as a company.

There are a number of reasons for the failure of the company, the chief one being the unfortunate circumstances that befell us during our show this past month in Fort Lauderdale, FL. If you are unaware, the original host hotel forced us out at the last minute (2 days prior to event) to make room for a wedding - leaving us with 2 options, (1) cancelling the event two days before show time or (2) finding a suitable replacement venue. We opted for a replacement venue, which ended up costing 3x what the original venue was supposed to cost us. In addition, the original hotel promised to direct attendees to the new hotel (and even signed a new contract stating they would). As with the first contract, they ignored their commitments and told hundreds of attendees that the show was cancelled and to go home. Following the crushing losses we sustained that weekend, we have attempted to work out a plan on how to best go forward, including a smaller tour schedule, scaled down events etc... but in the end, the financial loss we suffered makes going forward very difficult.

In addition, another important event has occurred since we first started planning our tour. At the time of our inception, there was no "official" Twilight convention in existence. That fact has since changed, as Creation Entertainment has teamed up with Summit (the producers of Twilight and New Moon) to put on officially sanctioned Twilight conventions. Since there is now an "official" Twilight convention tour, it makes our tour superfluous.

That being said, we have been in contact with Creation Entertainment over the last several weeks, and they have been very generous to help us relocate ticket holders such as yourself who are affected by our closure. We have arranged to swap the tickets you have purchased for one of our events to one of theirs. You currently have tickets for our Baltimore event scheduled for Feb. 5-7. The most logical switch would be to Creation's Arlington, VA event, however you can choose one of their other events if you wish

A full list of Creation's Twilight events may be found at http://www.creationent.com/twilight/index.htm

If you need any help figuring out where you want to transfer to, or have any questions about Creation please feel free to contact me directly and I will assist you. In order to swap your tickets, you just need to let me know by Sunday, January 17 at 6pm. At which time we will hand your information over to Creation so that they may process your order. Please be aware that Creation is not affiliated with our tour at all and never has been... they're just being awesome in trying to help out our attendees and us during this difficult time. Any dollar you spent with us will be matched dollar for dollar by Creation as part of this arrangement. Creation is a great company that's been around over 30 years and you can expect a great show from them.

Should you not wish to attend one of Creation's "official" Twilight events and want a refund for tickets purchased, here's the deal. The company is broke...plain and simple. We suffered enormous losses this past month, and it will be impossible for the company to ever recover from them. So we are asking that you consider exchanging your tickets with us for tickets with Creation, especially if you are in close geographic proximity to one of their events. If that still doesn't work for you, I will attempt to refund you personally - as the company no longer exists or has any assets. Please be aware that this may take some time.. but I'm a convention attendee too, and I don't want anyone to feel that they've been ripped off. Should you wish to get a refund, I will work as quickly as possible to take care of you, but understand this process may take up to 180 days (six months), as (not to sound like a broken record) the company is broke... and any and all refunds will be coming from me personally. Again, I want to make sure each and every ticket holder is taken care of, so if you have any questions, please email me (anytime) or call me (between the hours of 10am and 6pm eastern)."
